Praying Friends:

We’re all looking forward to celebrating Christ’s birth this month, saying “Merry CHRISTmas” to our loved ones, and spending time together with our family in Christ.

We’re celebrating another birth this week and looking forward to the birth of a new church in a town about an hour away from Togane where our first work started in Chiba! This wonderful event started with a phone call!!

Mrs. Tsu, a long time member of an ethics study group, became depressed when her search for the truth through the study of ethics did not give her answers to her needs. She called E, a former member of the group who had became a vibrant Christian, to talk about her problems. E shared her testimony. Mrs. Tsu invited her to come to visit. E immediately asked the Christians in her church to pray for Mrs. Tsu as she went to visit and share the gospel. E arrived to find Mrs. Tsu looking very dejected. E shared the gospel with Mrs. Tsu who prayed to receive Christ!! E said Mrs. Tsu’s face literally glowed after she prayed. Pray for this lady to know the peace and power of our living Lord.

Pray for E and several other Christians who are driving to Asahi City, one hour each way from Togane, on Thursdays to have worship with Mrs. Tsu who is willing to open her home and invite her friends to worship. Pray she will become a reproducing disciple, that her family and neighbors will come to Christ and this will be the beginning of many churches in this city.

A volunteer artist from Kentucky was here for two weeks in November and we had prayer walked in Asahi just before Mrs. Tsu called E to talk about her problems!! God does answer prayer!! He used folks who come to pray on site!!! You too can come and be a vital part of reaching the Japanese. Do you feel the tug???

Throughout this month as we think about reaching the world for Christ, participate in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for Missions, and pray for missionaries who take the gospel around the world, let’s praise God for His mighty power, His unfailing love, and His constant guidance in our lives.

We want to thank Him for all we have seen him do across Japan this year. A new work begun in Okinawa, in Toyosaka, in Togane at Lotus Coffee Shop…
