A Beautiful Picture of His Church Alive!

Dear Praying Friends:
In our last update we shared with you about Mrs. Ha following the Lord in baptism and how her three adult children came to watch. Well, God worked in the life of the eldest son who was there and the following week, Emiko and Mrs. Ha led him to the Lord. Please pray for Mi, this new babe in Christ to follow the Lord in baptism and grow. Mrs. Ha’s husband brought her to the baptism of another new Christian last Sunday. His original intention was just to bring her, but he came to the beach and watched. Please pray for this entire family to come to Christ.
Pray for Mr. So who trusted Christ as his Savior after being communist for nearly 50 years. He has a desire to bring his friends to hear about Christ and is inviting them to worship. Pray he will grow in his faith and be a bold witness of how Christ has changed his life!!!! Ask God to give this man who is in his 70’s a passion to see the elderly Japanese come to Christ. Approximately 20 percent of the Japanese population is over 65 years old.
Our leaders continue to train and study the word together. The Christians are continuing to witness and disciple others. What a beautiful picture of His church alive! Here is a short note from E today. “We had a good leaders training though it was hard to get right answers. Everyone joined the discussion. I met with Ms. Imi this afternoon. We read Genesis. It was the first time for her to know that God created everything. She didn’t know how to understand it. She is still very open. Mr. So wants to bring more people. I want to write more, but I’m sleepy now, so I stop writing. God is answering our prayers for sure. Talk to you soon.”
Pray for the young JET teachers who are headed to Japan to teach for one to three years. Their orientation takes place the end of July and the first of August. Pray for them as they prepare to leave their families and enter this new era of their lives.
God is calling our workers into his harvest in Japan. Pray for Ka, a Japanese living in America, who feels God calling her back to Japan to serve Him. Ask Him to increase her passion and vision and strengthen her to follow Him faithfully. R, a young American college student, has just completed college and is coming to Japan to teach English in a town in central Japan. She feels this is her missionary calling and she wants to be a witness to her students, leading them to faith in Christ. K is a missionary with a vision for starting house churches and equipping the Japanese to reach their family, friends, and acquaintances for Christ. Pray God will open the door for her to follow this vision.
Thanks to each of you who have adopted a family for 90 days! We are seeing God work in the lives of these families. We have seen a baptism in two families, reconciliation in another, a request to talk about Jesus in another, opportunities to witness to family members in another. We are so excited about what God is doing in their lives and across Japan because of your prayers. Keep praying!!!!
