Rejoice With Us!

Friends, There is rejoicing in Togane this week!! In heaven and in Tokyo!! And it isn’t just about a royal baby being born. Rejoice with us!! Three people decided to follow Jesus!! Two of those were led by fifth generation Christians. This means the work there has multiplied to the SIXTH generation: E led Mrs.SE, who led Mrs.Mo, who led Mrs. Yo who led Ko who has now led Hi. The work that started with one has multiplied to 51 with 10 of those leading someone else to the Lord. Wow!!! Praise the Lord!!! Read on!!!!
Ko was saved when he was seven and has boldly shared his faith with his friends and teachers! Two of his friends were saved last year but his mother and Mrs. Mo led them to Christ. BUT!!!! On Friday 10 year old Ko shared the gospel with Hi, Mrs. Mo’s son who lives across the street. Hi, who is 15, accepted Christ as his Savior. Both boys’ moms who serve together in their house church were present, praying for the boys. Please pray for Hi to be baptized and grow in the Lord! Also, pray for Mrs. Mo and Ko as they disciple Hi. Pray that Hi will have joy and be bold in sharing his testimony with his teenage friends as well.
Ken is 16. His parents are divorced and he has never really known his father. Last year, his mother suffered a stroke and is now bedridden. Ken had to quit school and go to work to help support the family. Mrs. Se’s husband hired him at his company. Mrs. Se has been ministering to the family as well as witnessing to them and Ken since last year.(Mr Se also hired Mr. Yo, as you remember from previous updates.) At the company, Ken looks up to Mr. Yo. This past Sunday when the churches joined together for worship and fellowship, Ken came and sat by Mr. Yo. During the fellowship, Mr. Yo led Ken to Christ. Ken has decided to be baptized next Sunday in the Pacific Ocean. This is another 6th generation Christian!!!! Praise the Lord!!! Pray for growth and obedience!! Pray for Mr. Yo to be a godly model, mentor and discipler and for Ken to be obedient to the Holy Spirit.
On Monday afternoon, E went to the Lotus coffee shop for worship as usual. Mr. Ta, E, Asa and Izu were there. After the worship as they were sharing their commitments to the Lord for the week, Mr. Ta and E shared that they wanted to follow the Holy Spirit’s voice in the lives and be obedient. When Izu’s turn came, she said she wanted to make the same commitment. E stopped her there and said “You can’t follow the Holy Spirit and be obedient because you haven’t accepted Christ. The Holy Spirit is not living in your heart. Would you like to trust Christ as your Savior and have the Holy Spirit in your heart? E was surprise when Izu said yes because she had witnessed to her many times and she had rejected Christ .After many times of hearing the gospel, this young lady prayed to accept Christ. Pray she will follow the Lord in baptism and become a bold witness so her friend, Asa, will be saved. Pray for God to protect her heart and her mind as she travels to India next week and faces many situations that will test her faith.
Many of these young Christians in Togane have struggled in their daily lives and in their walk with the Lord. Sometimes they have fallen down, but God has used the church to be the church and through the church He picks them up and helps them to continue growing in their faith. Pray for the church to experience victory in Christ and for His Name to be honored and for thousands to come to faith in Christ through the church God started there.
