Victory in Jesus

By jpnnana | September 20, 2003

Dear Prayer Warriors:

There is victory in the midst of battle!! Thank you for praying for the N family. God answered!

Sunday afternoon, September 14th, Mr. N prayed to accept Christ as His Savior. He and his wife have been reading the Bible and praying together each day. Today (Saturday) we had worship in their home. What a change has taken place in Mrs. N’s heart. She has seen Jesus, clearly in her dream. Replacing her anger and worry is a small seed of faith that is giving her hope. They saw God answer prayer by providing Mr. N a new job! Thank the Lord and continue to pray for God’s blessings and guidance on this family.

On September 9, Mrs. Ima presented the gospel to the Wa’s and Mrs. Na at Ikoi. They realize they are sinners and want their sins forgiven, they are not ready to believe that Christ rose from the dead to be their Savior. Mrs. Na wept as she said she wanted to believe but just couldn’t.. God is working in her heart. We learned that she has been searching for God. Pray she will read the Bible Mrs. Ima gave her. Pray that her spiritual eyes will be opened and she will believe. Also, continue to pray for the Wa’s to be saved.

The Ikoi Group Home has a beautiful building but a spirit of darkness covers the home which is located in an area called Three Black Shrines. It is indeed black. Pray that the light of the gospel will shine there in October as volunteer DeanO T. Clown goes to perform for the residents, their family members and the neighbors.

Pray for Mr. and Mrs. T to be saved on Monday, September 22, as several Christians go visit them, take food and share the gospel again. Also, pray for E and Mrs. Sa as they go to witness to Mrs. Su. who has heard the gospel on the phone. Ask God to help these new Christians to be loving, bold, Spirit-led witnesses as they tell what Christ means to them and share the gospel.

One special request. Pray fervently that Mr. and Mrs. O would have victory in their lives this week. Ask the Holy Spirit to give them a desire to know Him above all else, to enable them make right decisions, to comfort, to convict of sin, to give them a hunger to read His word and pray.

Praise the Lord for the time of prayer walking in Yaita with Utsunomiya Baptist Church Pastor and his wife on Monday. Pastor A wants to prayer walk more in Yaita as well as in other towns and Utsunomiya!! “This is what we need to do first; we must pray to prepare the soil to receive the gospel” he remarked again and again during the day as we walked and prayed. Ask God to prepare the soil, to reveal persons of peace in Yaita (perhaps the Taka family) as well as persons of peace in other towns and cities across Tochigi Prefecture.

Praise the Lord for the five worship services this week, the five discipleship training times, and the times when the Christians witnessed to the lost and encouraged each other. Ask God to lead and bless the worship, discipleship and witnessing that will take place this coming week; ask that the lost be saved, the Christians grow and He be glorified!!!
