We’re Back

April has been a month of ups and downs, beginning with my computer crashing at the beginning of the month. Address list, email correspondence, prayer updates, etc were lost and it has taken a month to get things back up and running. Some of you have been so good to help us in playing catch up. Thanks for those who helped.

Though we have not been able to correspond, we know you have been praying because we have seen God working. We’ve seen people saved, leaders grow, and new places of outreach open up. Leaders continue to train and prepare to go out, using as many methods as possible to reach the lost.

On Easter Sunday, Mr. Miku led his 76 year old grandmother to Christ. This is the second person saved at that house church since January. Pray for her growth in the Lord. Also ask God to give Mr. Miku wisdom in discipling her and leading her to follow the Lord in baptism. Also, pray for his wife as she gives birth to their second child in May. Pray for Mr. Miku as he grows in his walk with the Lord. We will be visiting him in June to spend time in discipleship and witnessing.

The Qualls from Sendai write “We worshipped this past Sunday (23rd) with the Mishi family. We prayed, praised, read the Bible and ate together. The Mishis had many questions and seemed to be excited about learning what the Bible says. We worshipped with them from 1-5pm. Please keep praying for the Mishis, that their desire to learn the Bible will increase, that we can worship with them again soon, and that they will personally trust Christ and begin a church in their home.”

In April, we, Tak and Lana, were asked to mentor and disciple Kieisu-san in Saitama prefecture, about 2 hours north of Tokyo. At our first Monday night gathering at her cram school, Mr. Su came. This man who is in her 50′s is hungry to know God and is full of questions. At the second meeting as we had worship together with five of us, we could sense the hunger of each one there to know God more. Keisu-san is praying for five friends and witnessing to them and her family. Please pray that as the Holy Spirit works in the lives of each of these, including Mr. Su, that they will be saved, and will become multiplying disciples.

Thanks to each of you for praying. If you have received this email in error, please let us know and we will remove you from our list.

Claiming His promises for His glory,
Lana and Tak Oue, Strategy Leader Unit for JCTV
